There are many reasons people seek support through counselling and psychotherapy.  You may be experiencing feelings of anxiety, sadness, fear or anger. You may be constantly stressed, feel like nothing you do is ever quite good enough or that things are out of control. You may be trying to come to terms with difficult events in your past or present, or struggling with creating or maintaining nourishing relationships.

Counselling and therapy can give insight into why you think and feel the way you do and offer new, healthier, ways to respond. I offer talking therapy ranging from a few weeks to months or longer, focused on addressing the issues which matter most to you.

I believe you are the world’s premier expert on yourself (even if it doesn’t feel that way).  My style of counselling is open and relaxed, focussed on creating a safe and confidential space where we can explore together the challenges you face in the context of the past, present and future. I won’t advise you on the ‘best’ course of action, but I can help deepen your self-insight to give you the clarity and grounding you need to heal, grow and thrive. If we feel it is appropriate, we can also develop strategies to help you tackle things quickly – impacting the ‘here and now’ while we build the foundations for a more positive tomorrow.

I offer a person-centered / psychodynamic therapy (which combines an empathetic space with an exploration of how the past impacts the present) combined with elements Acceptance Commitment Therapy (which utilizes mindfulness and value led action). The exact approach is tailored to you as an individual.  I believe it is effective for people who are facing a range of issues, including those who have had unhelpful experiences with other approaches in the past.

Sessions take place either online or face to face in a relaxing and discrete therapy setting in Faversham (UK). Session prices are £55, with a limited number low cost slots also available.
